Like any other tribal language, Pangwali language was also left to its fate till 2006. There were neither initiatives from any side to preserve the language nor any studies done specifically on the linguistics aspect of the language. In 2006, two linguists from LDLP Binaya and Dhanunjay started to study the language. Over the years, they have written linguistics papers on the sound system - Phonology, and on the Grammar of the language - Morphology and Syntax. They also studied the Discourse features of the language. By these initiatives, the language is on the process of Preservation and standardization. To see the papers please see below files.
